From 1946 to now, Wallitsch Gardens has been a thriving family owned business with the goal of connecting to community through plants.

It all started in 1946 when current owner Jeff Wallitsch's grandparents founded the nursery, right here on Hikes Lane. Fast forward to 2023, and Jeff and his business partner Nique Freese have taken over the nursery, and are only more and more excited each day to continue the long-time goal of serving their neighbors, and spreading the joy of plants to the community!

Now, growing forward as a female-led, inclusive team, Wallitsch Gardens is dedicated to continuing to support the local community through fundraiser events for organizations such as Gilda's Club of Kentuckiana and Louisville Metro Animal Services. We pledge to continue to strive to support our team and customer base in growing their own gardens, and in turn, hopefully their joy!
