Use a clean mason jar, old wine bottle, regular vase, or any decorative vase
Fill container with fresh cold water
Add a splash of Sprite to help your flowers remain brighter longer
Use sharp shears or pruners to make sure your flowers have a good, clean cut before placing them in the vase
Cut your flower stems at an angle
Use Hosta leaves or Ferns as filler for your arrangement
Some of our favorite fresh cut flowers to use from the yard are Hydrangeas, Rudbeckias, and Zinnias
Be sure to strip foliage from your flowers so they aren’t in the water
It’s a good idea to cut your stems longer because you can always make them shorter
