Fresh Cut Flowers




  1. Use a clean mason jar, old wine bottle, regular vase, or any decorative vase

  2. Fill container with fresh cold water

  3. Add a splash of Sprite to help your flowers remain brighter longer

  4. Use sharp shears or pruners to make sure your flowers have a good, clean cut before placing them in the vase

  5. Cut your flower stems at an angle


  1. Use Hosta leaves or Ferns as filler for your arrangement

  2. Some of our favorite fresh cut flowers to use from the yard are Hydrangeas, Rudbeckias, and Zinnias

  3. Be sure to strip foliage from your flowers so they aren’t in the water

  4. It’s a good idea to cut your stems longer because you can always make them shorter
